अगर खिलाफ हैं होने दो जान थोड़ी है,
अगर खिलाफ हैं होने दो जान थोड़ी है,
ये सब धुआँ है आसमान थोडी है,
Agar khilaaf hai hone do jaan thodi hai,
If they are against then let them be, they are not (my) heart or life(without whom i can't live),
Ye sab dhuwa hai aashmaan thodi hai,
It is all smoke not the sky,
लगेगी आग तो आयेंगें घर कई जद में,
यहाँ पे सिर्फ हमारा मकान थोड़ी हैं,
Lagegi aag to aayenge ghar kai zadd me,
If there will be fire then many houses will be dominated by it's flame,
Yaha pe sirf hamara makaan thodi hai,
Not only my(our) house(houses) are here,
हमारे मुँह से जो निकले वही शदाकत है,
हमारे मुँह में तुम्हारी जबान थोड़ी है,
Hamare muh se jo nikle wahi sadaqat hai,
Whatever comes out by my mouth is true,
Hamare muh me tumhari jubaan thodi hai,
Your tounge is not in my mouth,
मैं जानता हूँ के दुशमन भी कम नहीं,
लेकिन हमारी तरह हथेली पे जान थोड़ी हैं,
Mai jaanta hu k dushman bhi kam nahi,
I know the enemies are not less(than me),
Lekin hamari tarah hatheli pe jaan thodi hai,
But (they) don't have(their) life in their hand like us,
(''life in hand'' in hindi actually means fearless or determind to do and die)
जो आज शाहिब-ए-मसनद है कल नहीं होंगें,
किराएदार है जाति मकान थोड़ी हैं,
Jo aaj shaahib-e-masnad hai kal nahi honge,
Whoever is now the bearer of the seat will not be there tomorrow(particularly a government or in a parliament or on any nominated seat)
Kiraaydar hai zaati makaan thodi hai,
They are tenant not the owner of the house(it refers to the the temproaryness of a positions of a nominated seat)
सभी का खून है शामिल यहाँ की मिट्टी में,
किसी के बाप का हिन्दूस्तान थोड़ी है...
Sabhi ka khoon hai shaamil yaha ki mitti me,
Eveyone's blood in the soil here,
Kisike baap ka hindushtaan thodi hai...

जान(Jaan)= जीवन, life or heart, dearest( you can't live without), it actually refers to someone without whom you can't live., जद्द(Jadd)= प्रचंड़, प्रबल, जिसमे सब कुछ समेटने की शक्ति हो, sametne ki taaqat rakhna, ya apne kaabu me lena, To be dominated or to take over., शदाकत(Shadaqat)= सत्य, sacchai, Truth., हथेली पे जान(hatheli pe jaan)= अपने प्राण संकट में डालना, jaan pe khelna, life in hand'' in hindi actually means fearless or determind for something which for you are ready to die., शाहिब-ए-मसनद(shaahib-e-masnad)= कुर्सी पे विराजमान(मुख्यत: निर्वाचित संस्थानो के), Possesor or Bearer or holder of a chair(primarily nominated chair of a government authority), जाति(Zaati)= उर्दू भाषा का एक शब्द जिसका अर्थ पूर्खो अथवा पुराने मालिकत्व(मालिकाना हक) से है, poorani property, Old possession on a property.,
